After a decade working in the medical system and experiencing deteriorating personal health in 2014 I chose a new path to regain my health and vitality in the hope I wasn’t too late.

Embarking on this new approach to health I gradually began to recover  and it ignited a love of nature in me which compelled me to complete many courses including a Certificate in Nutrition (Nutrition for Everyday Living, College of Naturopathic Medicine, 2013), followed by a Diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition (CNM Galway 2016), in order to integrate more healing in the body at our clinic I combine a 3000yr old system of Medicine with modern day cutting edge technology in the form of Red light and Infra Red light therapy.

I felt driven to study Colonic Hydrotherapy after personally experiencing the healing and therapeutic benefits it brings to the body. Flushing out the colons old waste matter restores balance to the body and improves tone, function and peristalsis. In fact it challenges the body to work for itself!

At Iarthar, I work with my clients to educate and empower. By providing a deeply therapeutic interaction I hope that they leave feeling informed, and in touch with their own bodies and ready for the next step!!

Most of us struggle at times to make sense of what is going on in the world and in our daily lives, when faced with an unexpected crises, or when life becomes stressful and over demanding.  These struggles can be for a number of reasons and can include, family relationships, work difficulties or death of a loved one.  This can result in feelings of anxiety, stress, depression, shame, anger, fear and uncertainty.  During these times it may be helpful to get extra support by talking to a professional therapist who can listen and respond with empathy and compassion in a non-judgemental manner.

 I am a fully accredited Member of the Irish Association of Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP) and the Irish Association for Body Psychotherapy (IABP). Following on from my training as a Biodynamic and Integrative Psychotherapist from Tracht Psychotherapy Foundation in Kinvara, Galway, I completed a course with the Galway Rape Crises Centre "Working with Sexual Violence and Aggression. I am also an EMDR trained therapist.

I currently work from Iarthair, Mind/Body/Spirit  located in Westside Enterprise Centre in a space that is safe, calm and trusting and where psychotherapy is conducted in strict confidentiality. My primary areas of interest and expertise include: working with anxiety and stress; exploring and healing trauma; and building and maintaining healthy inter-personal relationships

I am a Biodynamic & Integrative Psychotherapist. Biodynamic Psychotherapy emphasises the importance of the body in sustaining psychological, emotional and physical wellbeing. Integrative means weaving in a variety of elements from different schools of psychotherapy, depending on your needs.

Together we will look at everything that makes you who you are, focusing on you and your relationship with the world around you.

My approach is warm and supportive and will in most instances be led by you. You can expect to be challenged into new ways of thinking, feeling, and expressing yourself.

As a Body Psychotherapist, we may also use body posture, breath, voice, and movement to raise awareness around your experience in the moment. Body Psychotherapy does not always involve touch. It often focuses on learning to recognise our felt sense.

I am a CORU-registered Social Care Worker with over 20 years of experience in caring roles. Trained in Reiki and Motivational Interviewing, I am committed to a trauma-informed, person-centered approach. I am passionate about promoting self-care, preventing burnout, and meeting people exactly where they are.

My Reiki sessions provide a restorative reset, helping to relax and regulate the nervous system, while Motivational Interviewing supports positive, sustainable change.

This September, I will further enhance my holistic approach with training in Health Promotion & Wellness at ATU Sligo and Indian Head Massage, bringing even more tools to support wellbeing, balance, and resilience.

I bring warmth, expertise, and empathy to every session, supporting clients in nurturing their physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.

Mary-Kate Kelly (MSc, MIAHIP, MIACP) has practiced as a Counsellor Psychotherapist for over 20 years. A Mayo woman, she worked for many years in Northern Ireland, relocating back to Galway in 2018. Much of her therapeutic work has been with people impacted by a wide variety life-changing illnesses (including Cancer, MS, and MND).

Mary-Kate is also experienced in working with anxiety, trauma, grief & loss, groupwork, couples work and creating bespoke training events. She has worked in both hospital and community settings, and is currently in private practice in Galway City.

Áine is a qualified reflexologist, doula, and CIMI (Certified Infant Massage Instructor), and
the founder of Anam Grá, a holistic practice offering the kind of care and nourishment the
soul truly longs for.

Based in the west of Ireland, she provides reflexology treatments for people at all stages of life. While she has a particular interest in supporting women’s health, such as fertility,

My name is Deirdre Glynn and I found Cranio Sacral Therapy when my own children were young.

I was amazed how effective it was at treating many different ailments at the different stages of growing up. Both physical and emotional. I credit it with contributing to their ability to stay balanced and steady in navigating their own trials and tribulations.

I have been a witness to the wonder of CST for almost twenty years. After having sessions myself, feeling the difference it made to me coupled with seeing the changes in my children

I trained as a body dynamic cranio Sacral therapist. My practice involves treating all ages from new borns to the elderly.

I do home visits and have sessions in Iarthar. A cranio sacral treatment is a light touch noninvasive therapy that helps activate your body’s innate ability to heal itself. I feel that it allows your mind and body to meet.
